FM Scroll Signal

FM Scroll Signal is an interaction study built around one real FM-synthesis patch. The same carrier, ratio, modulation index, and frequency deviation drive both the moving canvas and the opt-in Web Audio instrument, so what you see and hear come from the same signal.

Scroll through five phases, then move, tap, or drag to bend the patch temporarily. Press Play sound when you want audio. The point is not to make a song; it is to make an abstract synthesis relationship visible, playable, and entertaining for someone who has never touched FM controls.
